Maxima Sits

I had a really bad problem the other day. I was driving and heard a loud terrible clunking and clanging sound, and when I pulled off to the side of the road I noticed the power steering had gone out. it turns out that the idler/tensioner pulley bracket somehow came off, or got torn off, for the water pump and power steering belt.

within a matter of minutes the car overheated and the temperature gauge hit "H", but with my luck I managed to make it home before any serious damage happened. when the radiator cap sprung open I lost most of my coolant.

it's a quick fix, replace the idler/tensioner bracket and refill the radiator, but funds are limited for the time being.....

I keep saying it's a good car... over and over again....

I'm pretty sure I've got a spare idler pulley and bracket. Are the mounting holes still intact? Do you need the bolts too? I'll look tomorrow and if I have one, you can have it. I've still got to pull that oil pan off and I got you a fuel temp sensor while I was at the local Pull-A-Part Saturday. If I've got the idler and pulley, I'll get it all together this week and send it to you.
