One doesn't work, I've determined that it's a short in one of the wires, but dunno which one yet. Is there a new harness I can buy or am I gonna have to fab one of my own?

It may not be a wire, either. This is an early symptom of the headlight side of the column mount combo switch going out. I paid $75 for my first one, from a wrecking yard. The second time, when that one went out, the would only sell a complete column, for $100+. I found a local store selling a brand new borg warner unit, complete, entire combo switch assembly, for $125, and it's got a LT waranty...guess which route I took.
