Well guys, after all the work I put into this car, including a new windsheild ($250) and exhaust ($150) on Friday, I got rear ended Saturday morning and I'm pretty sure it's gonna get totaled. I was helping a friend move, and went to go get some food. I turned out of his development's road onto the main road, and at the next left turn there was a car stopped waiting for traffic so he could turn left. I came to a stop behind him, glanced up at my mirror and saw an early 90's Cavalier doing about 40ish and not slowing down. I had just enough time to cut the wheel to the right and hold the brake down. She finally tryed to slow down about 20 feet behind me, all she did was lock the brakes up and slide right into me. BAM. I restart the car, pull off the road, and get out. She comes up to me and is like "ARE YOU ALRIGHT?" and I reply with "Yeah, my car is pretty messed up though". She then proceeded to say "Yeah, I bumped ya a little huh". Police, accident report, etc. The rear bumper and cover are pushed in about 8 inches or more in the middle, the wheel wells are creased, and the rear doors and passenger door wont open, there is a crease in each door about halfway up it. The taillights survived, and I bent away any metal by the rear tires so I can still drive it till I get a replacement, but it looks like my winter beater is dead :/ Oh yeah, it also has a problem with 1st gear now, 1/2 the time it just grinds and pushes it back into nuetral when I release the clutch. I think when she hit me my foot slipped off the clutch and somehow the force messed up my tranny.

Geez....I swear the someone is using maxima's as target practice. That sucks to hear that. Be sure that when you have insurance look at it, that you include the receipts of recent work performed, you might get some of your money back.
