is there anywhere I can buy a set of vacuum hoses for my 87? Or do I just need to get on of the packs of silicone hoses? And if I have to go that route where did you guys go to get yours. Thanks.

yeah, I have already done that...I replaced all the vacuum lines I could find...I bought 15' of 5/32 line and used all but a few feet....anyway thanks for the help but I have already taken care of the issue, the car is better on acceleration, but I am still getting a fluctuating idle...anywhere from 1100 to 400, and it starts running really rough when it gets low and almost cuts off...and ideas on this one?

it coud possibly be that your intake is clogged.....my car started doing what yours is doing....i took apart my airbox, and there was a bunch of crap under the air filter that was forming some kind of film...anyway, i cleaned all of that up..and it made a huge difference, and my car quit trying to die on me...........

I would say that may be so, but I replaced my factory air assembly with a cone filter...that has probably 1,000 miles on it....I was thinking it could have an air leak where the maf butts up to the adaptor plate that came with the filter...but would an air leak in this spot cause this?

i am not quite sure on this one...i wouldnt think that an airleak would cause your car to "bog" down and die at low rpms...you might check tho....if you can find a leak, just try sealing it off with some silicone, or get another clamp or something...like i said, i am not too sure

BTW, yes, an air leak in the intake can and will cause same troubles...

I have to redo the entire engine bay in my car as well. Be good if I can find me some red vacuum hose.
