Where is flasher located on 87?

Where is flasher located on 87?
Got a friend with an 87 maxima. The turn signals stopped flashing and he can't find the flasher to replace it. Anyone know it's location?

near the steering column under the kick plate it is about 2 inch long rectangular box .
