Wiper Question

Anyone have this problem? When I initially turn on the wipers, they work fine as far as arm travel. The drivers arm (which is really the only one that I am paying attention to) will go from about 1" inch from the bottom of the windshield to about 1" from the left top molding. After a few minutes, the drivers side will start to hit the top side molding and go off the windshield. And, it isn't consistent as it will thump against the left edge of the window for a few cycles and then stop at about the 1" mark for the next few and then again hit the molding. The wipers appear to park fine so I'm not sure what is causing the problem. As it has been raining for the past few days, it is now getting annoying - I'm sure I won't think about it during the summer. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

It's probably windforce that's pushing the wiper too far. I use to have that problem, what I did was readjust the wiper by loosening the nut to hold the arm down, and moving it a tad closer to the bottom of the windshield (with the wiper in the down position, but not parked, usually can turn on the car on intermitten, wait for it to cycle, than turn the ignition of). That seems to be the easiest way.
