Possible Down-grade...

We're still not sure how the city is going to handle the issue with my wagon, BUT I have found a good solution if they cut us a check...

I have found an almost mint 85 Max sedan, same silver on gray as mine, with an almost new tranny, and about 120k miles on it, for $300, as it has bent valves from a broken timing belt...

Its not a downgrade if its got a new rebuilt tranny. Just swap out your enginefrom the wagon and mayve later on fix the valves and have 2 second gens. WElcome to the club..I got a working max and a non working wagon with a bad tranny :P

well, i won't be able to keep both max's due to lack of storage....

I would either drop the tranny into my wagon, or, since the sedan has lower milage, etc...go ahead and have the heads rebuilt on it...the heads on my running engine could use a rebuild as well, as the liftewrs clatter like h3ll...but maybe pull my "working" heads, and have them rebuilt...then just swap them onto the other car when they are finished... if only i'd have enough to get cams and a mile port job...

I had a wagon and wanted a sedan SO SO SO much. I finnaly found mine for 400..w000 Im quite happy with it.. when its running. It depends on what you like. IF you like the extra room that the wagon gives, I say keep the wagon. If you like the sedan maybe to try somethign new yeah I tought you were going to drop your wagons engine on the car If you do decide for the car. BUT then again ..wagons are calssic and sorta rare. I dont see as many as sedans.

Well, hopefully you can get things worked out with the city. If not, the sedan maybe a good idea....but only if that's feasible for your family.
