electrical problems... yay

Well... i drove my car down to cincinatti the other day and it ran fine the whole way there, and the whole way back until about 3 miles from my house. My radio just suddenly shuts off. along with the fans/heater/AC. I know i've already got a bad alternator but i still have good voltage when rpms are anything above idle. now once i got home and shut off the engine, i go to get out and i unlock it and open the door and my frickin alarm goes off! now that really ****ed me off... now whats wrong here... do i need to start searchin for a fuse somewhere? or do you think i have a short or something?

Ouch, sounds like a short somewhere. I would definately check all fuses and relays. How long was the door locked when you turned off the ignition? You could of somehow armed the system when you turned the key to off....though that shouldn't happen.

Yeah, that's what we figured over IM. Hopefully he gets it replaced soon before something else breaks because of it.
