where is the fast idle control?

where is it on a 87SE....sorry for the dumb question but I cant find my manual, and I cant find any pics on the net. I am looking for this because when I turn my ac on my idle speed atually drops by 500 rather than increasing....also lately when i start the car my idle will go up to 1200 then drop down to about 100 and start sputtering and catch its self, then do the same thing again then catch its self....until it has done this about five times and the idle smooths out at around 1000....for anyone that is familiar with these problems what does it sound like? Thanks.

my idle started to act up yesterday. I adjusted the FICD but hasn't helped. The car feels like its gonna die at every red light.

yeah
Normally you'd be right on.
If you'd seen my car a month ago you'd know why I don't think it's those things. Check my sig to see my car when the CHTS went out.
I did everything you suggested about three weeks ago. So i don't think it will help me now.
I'll probably get a new TPS. And start looking for a junkyard ECU.
