I never did dyno the car, but I easily walked away from my buddies stock 87 5-speed. I am working on two twin turbo v-8 projects now.

The turbo max is up for sale as well.

is this the same set up you put on your car? Also since you have done turbo on your second gen, can you comment on what this kit is missing....I mean anything else you would need/want to purchace to make this kit work properly. Thanks.

These are all the same components with the exception of the 240SX TB and higher lift cams I have.

I know you said you have dynoed but do you think you gained 50 hp over your stock set up (I guess it would help if I knew the stock numbers of the Turbo Zs that year)? If you really don't know thats fine too...I am just trying to figure out if this would be worth while or not. Thanks.

Well, even for anyone who REALLY knows their car, modest increases are tough to discern. One thing I can say, is that after applying these changes (turbo, cams, throttle body) it wasn't to hard to feel the increase. This little baby is pretty freakin grunty now. Even in 5th gear I can rapidly accelerate up a decent hill on the highway. As well, I had a buddy pace me on his motorcycle, and we got up to 250km/hr and the car was still strong. Yes, I have ZR rated tires. :-)

Hmmmm, I might have an offer for you KALSC, but that depends on when I get my car running again.

What's the shape of the turbo? Will it need a rebuild?

There is ZERO shaft play either back and forth or side to side. I was going to use the center section of this turbo in one of my turbos for the twin 5.0 but decided to rebuild both of those turbos fresh, so this one is in pretty damn good shape! :-)

As far as an offer goes, PM me and we can talk. Take it easy. :-)
