Insurance Bull****
Insurance Bull****
Recently I was involved in an accident with a little ****head in a Honda Prelude. He spun out and some how ran into the passenger side of my Max. My max is an 85 and since I was not at fault they are going to pay for the value of my max. They said the value is at $1500. I have no problem with that its just the fact that I had 18" chrome wheels on my car and due to that little ****er's inablility to control his vehicle two of my wheels were destroyed. The insurance company are saying that they are not going to pay for my two wheels which for two wheels are $800. I was just wondering what could I do about it? Any advice would really help.
Um, don't accept their first offer. It's a sucker try. List all the aftermarket things on your car + any recent repairs. It's their responsibility to get you a similar car that you had before the accident. So if your car had aftermarket wheels/tires, they owe you that.
What you need to do since the car is being totalled is work up a sheet of all the repairs/mods you did. Plus what a very good condition maxima of your year goes for. Submit this to the agent and tell them to submit their 2nd offer.

I've found that Kelly Blue Book values tend to be high. Edmunds.com usually has values that are more realistic. Since you WANT money, KBB would be the way to go, and pretty much everybody has heard of the KBB and will accept them as accurate. But "shop" around for the highest value.
Argh... I hate state farm. I got rear-ended by this guy who was doing about 50 before he saw me and slammed on the brakes. It shoved me into the guy in front of me causing more damage to the front end of my car than the rear. The guy in front took off and didn't file a claim because there was no damage to his car, but both other drivers said that I had hit the guy in front first, so Statefarm took this and ran with it. I didn't get anything out of it except for a whole lot of front end damage and a broken muffler.
