if ur gonna do that, then rebuild the whole motor, or the whole car. unlike me once something is fixed then something else goes out

uhh, most of thats top end work, i dont see any thing about main bearings, rear main or what not.....have you thought about doing alot of that work your self?

plugwires, belts and hoses, and oil change of course are the easiest to do...save you some bucks there....

that way unless its a screw you shop your only charged with the water pump even if they take the belts off and you should do a timing belt, having it done by some one isnt such a bad idea because if you do it wrong you can be out of a motor.

also, what do you mean by new seals? gaskets or something or are you getting blue smoke?

If you are going to need all those parts, I would rebuild the enigine as SuraTT said. Also you should rebuild the transmission. Hate to do all that nice engine rebuilding than the transmission goes out. Does the car need shocks/struts? Are the springs sagging?

to be honest from my stand point he doesent need a rebulid, most of those things hes talking about get replaced a few times before the internals begin to wear out. other things you need to change regularly

belts, hoses, oil, thermostat, timing belt need to be replaced regularly. ball joints, exhaust, motor mounts, water pumps, alternators, coils, rotors, distributer caps get replaced a few times before you need to tear down an engine...unless your stupidly harsh on your engine

as for wiring problem guy, go get a manual (factory service or chiltons) and then start sifting through the wiring....i would check in the back with the rear speakers first and then the head unit...security box is in the back bolted under the 3rd brake light in the trunk

yeah i don tthink i need a rebuild. the guy at the shop has always been trustworthy. he checked everything and said my engine and tranny were solid. i was looking at a long block for about 1600. but now thats out. the interior will be next month sometime. would like to have leather seats; racing seats are an option.

thanx for the tip Niku. Also i have a skip. i and some other people think it's either a fuel injector or possibly a valve. but then my dad said something about the distributor. What do ya'll think it is?

Here is what you do, get a compression test done. If the numbers are within spec then the engine is fine. Just buy all the parts separate and do all of the engine/tranny mounts. You car won't need the MSD ignition, so stock parts will do just fine. What I would recommend is cleaning the throttle body, putting the car in diagnostic mode II and see what kind of fuel trim the ecu is using.

Yeah, that'd be the downside of cracking an inside joke....when you're the only one in that inside joke.
