this 87 se looks and runs great but I need to put a clutch in soon and when I do I want to see what it will take to restore smooth shifting into 3rd gear from 2nd. I have to bring shifter to the left then up into 3rd because if I just shift naturally up and over then straight up it stops before going into 3rd. I wish now I would have checked the car out better before I bought it as the shocks all sqeak and are wore out i believe so I will need to do some work on it and spend 200 on clutch,up to 650 on struts. I paid 2350 for this car and that is 1500 less than DOl fair market value and only about 1000 less than they are selling for around here in excellent condition. Perhaps doing this work will allow me to sell it after a couple years and not loose to much.I have 123,000 on it now and only put 10,ooo a year if that. Any thoughts , advice, humor, bring it.lol
