By backside spacing do you mean the spacing of the lugs?

If that is the spacing of the lugs which I believe it is, the rims wont fit. I don't think that you can bore the lug holes without messing up the balance of the rims. but i supose its possible.

Maxima bolt pattern is 5x114.3 with 40mm offset from the factory.

Not your maxima Sarin. We all know you have a custom 5 lug set up. Instead it would be 4x114.3 for our maximas.

I beg to differ. 4x100 is the spacing between each lug whole relative to each other. Ours is 4x114.3. It isnt going to work. Some wheels come with both bolt patterns on the wheel in a big square style. The outer 4 are the 114.3 lug spacing and the inner square, smaller in diameter ones, are the 4x100 ones which Civics would utilize.

Here is a pic of my example:

See how our bolt pattern 4x114.3 is spaced out further than the 4x100s for Honda Civics.

4x100,4.5 - I beleive this means they have both 4x100mm and 4x4.5" bolt spacings. If that's the case, 4x4.5" is the same as 4x114.3mm, meaning that they will fit.
