So many mods so little time

Looking at all the diffrent sticky threads I noticed there was a ton more mods than I thought there was. Racing cams, pistons, turbos, lug converstion, cai, aliuminum water pumps, and it goes on. I would like my max to be as fast as the cars these days. I am planning on rebuilding my engine but I dont know if i should do all the racing parts. It would run diffrent probaly ruin the gas mileage but it would be faster. I really dont feel like putting on a turbo anyways. So its like what should I do? Should I just go ahead and buy that racing engine rebuild kit with cams and pistons? It already has a k and n filter in the stock air box. I really dont know how to do a CAI since mine has and aiv injection box. Really have no idea what to do. I plan on getting a 300 zx ecu and maf soon. Hoping that give my max a few extra horsepower. I need on suggestions on what mods I should do to my max? Money is really not an issue its deciding what to do.

I dont really want a turbo in my car. Its to much "customizing" for me.
