Only got 200 miles on a tank! O2 sensor?

I ran my first full tank of gas through the Max since I bought it and got the bugs out (I thought). I only got about 200 miles on the tank. This was almost all city driving and a few spirited sprints to the redline to make sure she could do it. What's up with that? Do you guys think that my O2 sensor is fudged up making the car burn more gas than it should? How many miles should I expect per tank? The car runs perfect otherwise. I wonder if the junk yard 87 MAF could be causing the mileage? ? ?

Think about it.......city driving....and sprints. Last time I checked, those 2 things alone don't make you gain mileage. Have you tried pulling codes.

Back in the day, I was lucky to get passed 325-330 miles a tank driving on the freeway all the time.

its cold out...youve probably fixed things that caused your car to consume less gas and suck in more air...and you got used to that.

its probably using the correct gas and like i said, its cold and cold air is great for mixing with fuel...which will increase fuel usage.

my 92 gxe gets about 15 mpg in the city since i modded the intake/exhaust.

got better mileage when it was slow, ahahah.

Maybe the mileage isn't that bad then. I thought that the pulling of codes to determine if the O2 sensor was good was only for 97 and older Maximas? ? ? Mine is an 88. Perhaps I'll take the Max out of town this weekend instead of the woman's Camry to see if the mileage is any better on the highway.

Good news! I got 20.25 mpg over the weekend (mostly hiway driving with a fair amount of city driving (no red-lining). I'm thinking with the current tune it should be good for 25mpg hiway. Not bad. I guess I just have to keep my foot out of it.
