Depends where the crack is and how much money you have to spend.

Sarin, love the sig of the Volvo, cant get enough of it. It looks like it is lowered in that pic as well. On a side note, yes it all depends on the area it is in and how big it is.

Thanks! It isn't lowered. It's just my almost 200lbs *** in the car.

For getting that car for $150 it's not worth fixing it. It's incredibly dumb to buy a cheap car and spend more than what the car is worth to get it just to run. Got any pics of the crack. I can probably tell you if the rim is repairable.

Get over it.

Dude, show me where it makes sense to put a $200 motor in a car you only paid $150 for? I guarantee for that much there is more wrong with the car than just a thrown rod else the guy would of replaced the motor already. Most cars under $500 is asking for a LOT of trouble. Quite honestly trading with parts that are not in good shape is problematic too.

That Volvo is hot man. Come to think of it, I love Volvos. The boxines of Volvos is very sililar to that of out cars. Volvo Volvo Volvo Volvo

I do think the rims on the Prelude will look better on your car than the white ones. I'd suggest getting some larger profile tires as the 40 series that are on there now make the car look a tad strange. If the wheels hold air then I don't think you need to worry about the crack. Good look with it.

That Volvo rocks.

Sure but you'd throw off the wheel balance.

Correction, I talk about volvo's only in threads you post in to irritate you. I take joy in annoying people like you on the internet. It makes my life complete.

As far as the wheel balance....you haven't taken science or physics yet have you? If you take a wheel that is perfectly balanced and spin it, it should spin with out any vibration or oscillation. Take a little bit of weightt and place it at any point on the wheel and it will vibrate/oscillate. Welding a crack will cause that. Other thing would be wheel integrity. A crack probably compromised that.

Oh btw....Volvo.

Wheel welding

If you get a person that knows what they are doing they will weld the wheel and the put it in a lathe and turn down the weld. Then they can polish the wheel. I have had this done many times.

How much is he gonna charge you? A set of accord wheels? j/k. Actually I'm kinda of interested to see what he charges to guage some of the local shops since I need to fix a slightly bent rim.

I would suggest calling the closest "Wheels America" http://www.fixrim.com. They will strip, fix, machine, polish, and powdercoat any aluminum rim for $129 (if it can be fixed). I had my 3-piece BBS rims done there and they came out excellent.
