Engine idle speed adjustment?

hey got a question about the engine idle speed. my maxima idles at 1500 - 1700 rpm, is there a way to lower it to about 1000 rpm?

theres a screw on the back of the engine, try getting a hayes manual for more detail

oh yeah, thats what i meant. there are are two screws 1 for the normal idle speed and the other is high idle for when you have the ac on for example

Well... Nissan strongly sugests that the Idle control settings should not be adjusted.

Your high idle could be due to incorrect timing. Play with that before you start fiddling with your AICV.

i thought the seddon screw (the one with beveled edges) was the FICD
