hey everyone ran into another problem with my 2nd gen. i was driving around town and it suddenly died and wont start. all i hear is what sounds like a relay click when i turn the key. the starter doesnt engage or anything. it almost acts like the car is in drive not neutral or park and will not start. any idea what could be wrong here?

i was actually having this problem at one time. what could happen why its not starting is the spacer on the shifter cable. could be warn down and there is too much play for the park switch to engage so it thinks that the car is in drive. or i was actually reading in my book that the relay sometimes goes out. or you could just have a bad battery you can choose.
Just replace them all , Shifter cable is 130 , For the nissan dealership , You might wanna just go the junk yard for that , ITS a ***** to install though .
And Try to jump the car FIRST before you go buy a new batt . If it starts up but wont hold a charge , Its eather a fusable link , Batt , Or alt.
