Engine movement + heat + flex + weakness of the bar.

They probably will not do anything as it is not on an Altima.

I guess it is all about the luck of the draw. My strut bar has been on for almost a year and it is still going strong, no bending whatsoever. The seller I got mine from sent me a $40 strut bar from some website. I only payed $26 shipped to my door. I got lucky I guess

I had rubbing between the bar and the EGR valve. When I had the altima strut bar, but not bending.

You probably need to modify the mount brackets to keep the bar from hitting. Also check your motor mounts, after I filled mine so many years ago that kept the engine from moving as much as it did before. If you guys can take some measurements of the rubber inside the stock mounts I can compare them to my se-r mounts, maybe see if the prothane's will fit 2nd gens as well.

I polyed my mounts about 2 weeks ago it helped ...

but heh it dident help in getting it to pass inspection...

Inspector said the mounts where dissconnected .... BS

Maybe he said that because i have the plate style mount on the front of the engine ?
