Have the OEM sunroof deflector.
Thanks.

Not to knock you down, but.
If you're going to donate it, and don't want them to have a stripped car, why even take anything off of it?
As far as parting it out yourself, that's probably the best bet. The way things are now, you won't have to pay to have it hauled away. There's tons of people out there that will come to your house and pick it up for free.

Fair point. I figure it'll end up going to scrap anyway after it's donated so if anyone here wanted anything small it'd be win-win. These types of items won't affect the auction price -- as the value is in the scrap, not small trim pieces.
And... if I had enough interest in the various pieces where it would turn out to be more than the donation value, then all the better. But it's not worth major tear down, packing and shipping of large pieces.
Either way, I'm fine with the final outcome. In the end, it'd only be a difference of a few dollars. Not worth worrying about.
Thanks for the input.

I can understand why you don't want to put more $$$ into your Maxima. Any money spend will never be recovered even if you try selling it . They're just getting too old. I feel the same way at times with my car.
Here's an option for you that your probably already aware of....The State's Old Car Buyback Program. Got their flyer last year and this year for my 86se. Not sure if California still has the money to continue this program as I read they stopped it till further notice. That was a few months ago. You can check this link and make some phone calls.

The cat alone can fetch you like $60 at a recycler...go at it with a sawzall...
I parted out a parts car that I bought for $100....made $400 in parts off of her and sent her away to the junkyard at no cost to me....as was mentioned, there are plenty of yards out there that would be more than willing to take the remaining scrap metal off your hands when you are done... good luck man...

I qualify, so that's what I'm going to do.
They basically just need the car to be running with the body panels and windshield intact. And driver's seat.
So bump to the top. Here's your chance, folks. Anyone need interior parts? It'll be gone next weekend or the following one. It's fair game and I won't be taking anything away from a deserving donee. It's going to a dismantler.
