where is the BEEF

I have a 82 max and i was wondering where i could go to get some
mods

For engine related stuff use Z/ZX parts venders(zcarparts.com, strictlyZ.com). The Maxima and 70-83 Z/ZX have basicly the same engine so you might be able to use some of the same stuff. As far as other mods go maybe someone else can fill you in.

go tojcwhitney.com and look under the 240Z, you can get headers for it, nitro kits, and if you want to put a bigger cam in it go to cranecams.com they sell all the goodies there.

What sort or power/ quarter times can be expected from the 83's?

the 2.4 doesn't really have alot of horsepower, most of the performance that comes from them is torque, the L6 motors have a crapload of torque. thats if the motor has been cared for. My car ran low 15's when I first got it,that was 2yrs ago, plus it's a 5spd. the auto's are slow as hell off the jump.

the pacesetter header from jcwhitney is square port same as the maxima's L24E engine right?
