Looking at replacing the 3" length of 3/4 " straight hose and the u-shape 3/8" hose for the thermo by-pass as preventative maintenance while doing the Water pump. The hoses still look in great shape with no cracks and are still pliable.

Main question - for those of you who replaced the 3/4" straight section, did you have any problems resealing the hard pipe screwed into the block? Mine has a little surface rust and I plan to reseal the with teflon tape.
