No Start with No Codes - No Spark
As the title says, I have a no start with no codes. The ECU gives a 44 code that there is no trouble code and the ECU is OK.
I did the following:
No spark at the plug with a spark jump test.
Distributor rotor is turning - belt OK.
Swapped out rotor and cap - still no spark
Measured lead from coil to distributor 5 K ohms - OK
Tested output of ignition module while cranking about 11V, which should be enough V. My frequency counter shows a pulse. But the wave form to generate a spark may not be correct to generate a spark. - Maybe OK
Tested existing and swapped out with a spare ignition coil - Still no spark
Tested existing and swapped out with a spare ignition module (power transistor) - Still No spark
I read through a couple of similar posts and some have found the problem was the Crank Angle Sensor. I can check power and ground, and only check if there is a pulse in Hz. I have no way to test per the per the FSM unless I do some calculations and know the cranking rpm. The waveform may still not be correct for spark. Is there anything else that is a likely problem I should check before I drop $1xx on a CAS to find out? Security system?

Well, I dug into this a little more and am pretty sure in the CAS after testing its output. Using my frequency counter I found is no output on Pin 8 from the crank angle part of the CAS, but Pin 17 the cam angle checks out OK.
Anyone have experience with any of the aftermarket/parts store brand CAS? I see Standard Motor/BWD with there various quality level parts, and Facet which looks OEM, but I never heard of them.
