max goes boom(its a good thing)
max goes boom(its a good thing)
yesterday i was putting the system in my max. i put 4-6x9 in the rear deck, replaced the door speakers, put 4 tweeters in the a pillers and a 4x6 in the pocket below the eq for my 5.1. ok now the question. what sounds the best in the trunk?????? i would like 4 kicker L-7's. or would a bandpass work better?? i got 4 audiobhan 15's and just cant make em fit. any help on a box design that works in your max would help me out. iam gonna fiberglass the box and make custon kick panles for componets. if they turn out good i could make more if any one wants them
I've got a JL Audio ProWedge 12W3 sub enclosure in my trunk and it puts out enough bass to drown out everything else. Seems to sound best (more natural) with the sub facing toward the front of the car. I'm using Diamond Audio M3 integrated 6.5s in the rear deck and 5.25s in the doors. Using two Sony ES Mobile amps (one bridged mono for the sub and one four-channel for the speakers) and a M670 ES Mobile CD head unit. The whole system works well, at least well enough to make the whole car rattle and make my ears ring
I have 2 solobaric 15's in my trunk facing forwards. They are totally sealed off from the back of the trunk which means i can have the trunk open but you dont hear the bass. All of the sound goes into the car. Then i sound deadened all the doors and the floor. I have hit 149.2 at a local comp and that is without any noticeable trunk rattles! I plan on taking the box out in a month or so when i get my new 15. I am thinking of putting it in a 6 foot ported box and running both my amps to the single sub. Trying to hit 152-153 with this setup.
