Fs: Ve30de
Fs: Ve30de
i bought a VE30DE from a fromer org member around late december thinking i will put it in my car. time past by and now its not worth the time and money to put this motor in, so i am left to sell a very good motor. motor was rebuilt 11k miles ago. has new nissan headgaskets, nissan bearings(in accordance with crank and block coding/measurements), nissan gaskets and seals. the block was honed, the block was NOT decked, simply cleaned. heads were rebuilt with nissan valve seals and exhaust valve guides. intake valve guides looked brand new, VTCs were rebuilt according to TSB and factory service manual. 1 lifter was replaced, purchased at the deeler.
as for performance.
300zx NA pistons from a 92 300zx 2+2 (pistons were cleaned, new nissan rings were used)
block was not bored. everything is well within stock spec
injectors are perfect, coil packs are perfect
set of teflon intake manifold spacers, they separate the upper intake manifold from the lower intake manifold by 1/4", same with the throttle body.
upper intake runners were hand ported by former owner and matched to the spacer and the spacer was matched to the lower manifold. same with throttle body. he ported it as much as he thought was safe, kept the velocity stack shape on the throttle body.
195hp, 190ftlb to the wheels. thats SAE corrected. raw numbers were 208HP and 203ftlb to the wheels at 45* in november, something like 250ft above sea level that was with a terribly flowing exhaust. as i was told when i orginaly got the engine.
it also has a new water pump.
i got this motor because my motor it self needs a rebuild and was just going to swap it for this one that i am now selling. 3 months have passed by and no work on the car has started motor has been just sitting in the garage since when i got it. have cleaned it up a little, and put on a new water pump. now i am selling this motor becuase there are more problems occoring with the car it self, tranny is slipping and this new motor isnt gona help save the tranny. and its not worth at least to me spending more money on a car with problems. so if any one is interested let me know.

Couldn't you buy another SE for just a little more than that? Or are the VE's worth that much or cost that much to be rebuilt? I was looking to some day do a VE swap... but seems as if that is relatively expensive as to compared to just buying a complete car!
