WTB: VE-5 Transmission ASAP!!

I'm in need of a 92-94 Maxima SE Manual 5-speed Transmission ASAP. It doesn't really matter if it has a bad ISB as long as the syncros are in decent condition and it works...

Let me know.

Thanks,
Sean

Hehe, I have one I had a good used one and traded it to someone local in exchange for this one + a little cash. I haven't cracked it open, he said he couldn't get it in gear. Probably a blown ISB. Do you need it before the move?

Got your message about the Katzkins, thanks for shipping them out, they look good!

Yes I do need it before the move. I was supposed to get one at a JY in El Paso tomorrow, but they can't seem to find it? If they don't find it by tomorrow I'll need one ASAP.

How much do you want for that one shipped to 87111?

Hopefully they can find that tranny for you. I opened it up last night to find the ISB 100% in tact, there was nothing obstructing the striking rod, so I inspected things and sealed it back up. It shifts fine through all gears, I don't know what his problem was, I could swear he said he couldn't get it in gear. Maybe I misunderstood him.. There's a possibilty he said it was popping out of gear, which you don't want, but I think i'd remember if that is what he said.. Buying this tranny would be a little bit of a gamble, I don't know how it drives.. It looks good visually and shifts fine on the bench, I wouldn't hesitate to install it on my car, but I don't know if i'd pay over $100 shipping on top of that. Chris has his old VE tranny with a blown ISB. He knows how it drove prior to being locked out and forced to replace it, that might also be an option if he's willing to part with it.

The El Paso JY still can't "find" the tranny, so I need to get one elsewhere. I think I'm willing to take a gamble if the price is right. PM me a price shipped to 87111 and maybe we can work something out. Sound good?

I sent Chris a message about his tranny just now...

We should create a temporary wormhole between Portland and Albuquerque, lol
