does anyone know if the 92SE window motor&track assemblies are the same for a 91SE? I don't see why they wouldn't be, but just making sure.

If they are the same, how much would you ask to have all 4 assemblies shipped to 95822 zip?

I need 2 adjustable rear parallel links. On the 3rd gen, one is adjustable and one is not. Also, they need to be rust-free. Mine are rusted to the point that the nuts don't move anymore, so they're basically useless. I'd like to get these ASAP, so just let me know if you have them and how much you want for them. Thanks for the help!

I think this is a friend of mine from McKinney TX. The exterior is black I think he modded the gauge cluster and it is an automatic.

I think it's him too, I just remember he was from McKinney, although I thought he got rid of that car after it died, but I guess it fits with him saying it has been sitting for a few years

Do you remember how the body is? Since it's black I wouldn't mind grabbing the hood and trunk lid for my newest VE 5 I picked up that has a little bit of hail damage

As I recall the hood should be fine. I don't know about the trunk though I want to say it had a spoiler and that was rotted. Why don't you just hit up the junkyards? I'm sure Nissan Heaven has some.

Oh I'm at the junkyards at least once a week and I'm always looking for good condition black hoods and trunks but haven't found any as of yet, although I don't go to Nissan Heaven. If they're anything like Honda Heaven, they're most likely outrageously expensive (and more than LKQ which is saying alot). Is that in Fort Worth?

$69.99 for a dashboard, plus a $2.00 "core" - used to be $25.00 before LKQ took over

$35.99 for a strut, plus a $2.00 core (I mean you can buy a new strut for about $40 for crying out loud) - used to be about half that before LKQ took over

$34.99 for a transmission mount, plus a $2.00 core - single mounts used to be about $10 before LKQ took over

Their transmissions are now $119.00 plus a $25.00 core - used to be $75

They tried to charge me $17 something for a single speaker the other day

Other things that are arguably subjective condition-wise, they've instituted a convenient grade 1, grade 2, or grade 3 system, and of course without fail charge you for a "grade 3" every single time which is, of course, the most expensive "grade".

That's about all I remember off-hand, but one thing they've really done since taking over is adding core charges to virtually every single thing you can buy. I understand cores on axles, engine blocks, etc. but they now charge "cores" on dashboards, speakers, etc. It's a brilliant move on their part because it ensures that a good portion of that stuff they won't have to refund any money, but it still irks me big time. I mean, in addition to their "environmental fee" they charge on everything, it ends up tacking about $5 total to each purchase, plus the $2 they charge you to get in

Now, I will say, they do a great job of getting fresh cars in daily and they have a great selection, but still, the days of me getting good deals on their stuff are long gone. The only reason I use them is because it's convenient to not have to wait for shipping from stuff online, I always know that I can reliably get x-part from there, and I come across alot of stuff I like to hoard/have backups for/etc., but the price of doing that is just getting too high with those guys.

Plus their service/attitude is just completely awful, and I hate to say it, but they're all complete idiot ******, every single one of them.

AND, on top of that, they moved back their business hours. They don't open the yard until 9 am, which is completely ridiculous in summer time considering it's well near 100 degrees by 10 am. And incredulously, they REMOVED the little shaded bench areas they used to have spaced around the yard.

Of course, this seems to be regional, as I'm amazed you seem to have had good experiences with those guys up there.

Nissan Heaven is in Arlington off 287. I don't think they're too bad. My friend knows the owner actually so we might be able to get a good deal. I got some free center caps and a tailight. Which yards do you normally go to? I used to frequent Twin Lakes and Reyes in Dallas. I've been going to school in Fort Worth and so now I go to ones around there.

To continue the junkyard side conversation, the past year and change has seen the local junkyards go from locally owned, to LKQ and now it is pick and pull. LKQ came in and it was awesome, prices were nice, as well as the return policy. Then ***** and pull bought all the yards. I like how I can search inventory online now, but they raised the prices and returns are not accepted at all. I don't even think you get store credit anymore. You can only exchange the part if it's defective or else you're screwed.

Odd, the exact same thing happened here with the LKQ yards becoming Pick n Pull. Except, the prices for Pick n Pull seemed to stay the same as the inflated LKQ prices. They're kind of annoying too because when you come in they hound you about what car you're looking for and what part you want and then they look it up in their crappy inventory and all that, it's like sheesh can't I just look around?

The most aggravating part is that they don't give vouchers for the other yards. For example, if I go to one location and pay $2 to get in, I have to pay $2 to get in the other locations around Dallas, whereas previously if you paid to get in one they'd give you a yellow voucher slip that would let you in free that day to the other locations.

All of it together just really makes it not even hardly worth it to go junkyard hunting. Although here, oddly enough they kept the same LKQ staff (all ******) but seemed to have attempted to make them all good at "customer service". But you can tell they're still ****** just playing nice because they have to
