1992 SE AUTO PARTOUT

So my gold VE has been sitting in the driveway for too long now, and as soon as I can find the title it will be headed to the yard. The interior is pretty much stripped (took the leather, door panels) but if you need any of the electrical components behind the dash (TCU, door lock timer, etc.) or anything else from the interior let me know, still have the VE gauges as well

Also if you guys need something from the engine bay Ill do my best to get it pulled for you. The AC worked perfect in this car, as well as the heat. The alternator is good I havnt had a problem with it the whole time I drove the car (1.5 years)

it does have an AIRBAG but it is NOT an ABS car. Ive got a camera so if you need pictures of something before or after I pull it thats not a problem I can post them in this thread.

Why are you parting it out? Is it rusted?

its originally a california car, but has spent at least half of its life in the midwest, so it has some rust. not as bad as some ive seen. It does have at least one decent rear quarter panel without rust if someone needs on of those.

Its got 247k and the engine would require a good overhaul, the suspension is also shot. VTCs clack like nobodys business; ive also got another 3rd gen with 100k less miles that is actually worth fixing up so thats what im working on

I paid $550 for this car probably 2 years ago-ish and its been an awesome 3G, however I originally bought it for parts (leather interior) but I got something like 15k miles out of it and its that time

I Need the car to be in rolling form so whoever PMed me about the wheel hubs sorry I cant sell you those, probably dont want them anyway as most other parts suspension wise are shot.

not looking to make a killing off of what you guys need. if its easy to remove then ill hook it up. If its a PITA to remove add another $10.

Power antenna is no good. I tossed the speaker brackets a couple months ago. I have several sets of mirror assemblies but not all of them Have heat Ill see what I have in the morning and Let you know

I'd possibly be interested in the SE gauges. Does anyone know if I can roll it back? I would be putting it in a low mileage car.

Also, I am planning on doing the VE5 trans swap but only have the tranny sourced. Do you know if the auto axles fit with the manual trans? If so, I'd be interested.

Of course, I'm also in FL that shipping might be tough.

Itd be a lot easier to just swap out the ODOs between the 2 clusters. $20 plus shipping on the cluster. Ill get a picture later today

I need the car in rolling form for when they come to get it. So sorry but cant sell you the axles.

A/t axles won't work in a m/t anyway.

the passenger headlight glass is good, the driver side has a nice size crack in it (pic) However I have an extra driver headlight glass that I removed from another assembly I planned on fixing this with, just have to make sure I have it.

$45 shipped on the headlights with spare glass to repair the cracked one
$30 shipped on the SE gauges

if you need a specific relay or whatever this is the place to get one it still has everything

I have a gold VE grill and a black one (pictured) that isnt perfect. $8 plus shipping for the black one. $35 shipped on the gold one. Have other grills as well and parts just ask

At least keep the motor and harness. You always have the option of dohc whenever. If not you can sale it as a whole/ part out later for more cash. Its always simpler to buy a VE off a member instead of a site.

Im not keeping the motor. If somebody wants something off it its all theirs. I feel like you're having a hard time letting go of my 3rdgen, maximo018. It will be ok. If you wanna overhaul the suspension and the engine and then do some body work and in the meantime use a torch to free up all the rusted bolts; then drive up my way and ill give you the whole thing!! But otherwise its taking up space in my driveway and pissing off my nieghbors.

Im just going to start pulling all the useful stuff off it but mainly small things so I will get a list up of things u can buy this weekend hopefully.

LOL I just noticed where you are...sssssssnaaw thats alright. hah. Too far for me. I just know trying to find a VE 3rd gen running isn't easy these days. Soon we won't be able to find these damn motors anymore. (Glad I got 2 of everything [engine and trans]) Would love to dedicate to help any fellow 3rd gen owner but mine is already a big enough pain in my A$$.

Why not swap the VE over into the other car? Or did I miss that part?

Btw from that last pic you seem to have a nice yard. The 3rd gen seems to be a pretty ugly yard gnome Lmao! Its lowering property values lol.

yes a hell of a car but a horrible yard gnome

the other car is a 1990 digidash VG, it just hit 150k yesterday...already put a good amount of work in it swapping out most of the burgandy interior and getting all of the electronics working again.

But to confirm: You are happy with your VG rather than swapping in the VE.

Digidash VG with sonar suspension and electronic steering? YES completely content. I still plan on trying to find a VE5 in the future so I can have the ultimate pair of 3Gs
