Power Door Locks Problem.
Power Door Locks Problem.
I've got a 93GXE and sometimes the power locks work and sometimes they don't. When they don't work....all I hear is a clicking sound on the left side of the dash when I press the power lock button.
Any ideas on what this can be? Do I need to resolder something or replace a part?
Thanks,
Roman

works fine for me, did you try searching for "door lock timer", I found plenty of relevant results but anyway...
The door lock timer on 92-94 maximas controls the power door locks, it is fairly common for this unit to go bad. You can still hear the relay clicking under the dash but the power door locks dont go up or down. Usually, you can take out the door lock timer, resolder it, put it back in and it'll fix your problem just like that.
The door lock timer is just to the right of the steering column if you take off the lower drivers side dash panel (about 9 screws or so, mostly pretty obvious). It is a grey plastic box and may even say door lock timer on it. Behind it is the cruise control unit and just to the right is the blinker flasher unit.
Good luck
