Ok this is probably a dumb question but, when you open your air box which way do you put in the K&N the purple side up or down? Basically, the part of the air box that you cannot lift, should the purple be facing it or facing up? Thanks.

 

look at the original paper filter.....which way do the fins go????

As far as I know, it only fits one way because there is a lip on one side of the outer part.

 

Yep. My filter added a slight whine. It's a nice thing to notice, even though no one can hear it but me.

 

No one can hear it but you...hmmm.....say Hi to the voices for me too.

 

I know it goes it only one way but as far as I know shouldn't the purple side, as opposed to the silver side be pointing up? The silver side is pointing up for me although the filter sits in the box pretty well.
