Car leaking on INSIDE of car..(long)

Well I was drving around with my girlfriend tonight, and I feel something drip on my foot. I was like wtf? I had sandals on and so it dripped directly on my foot. I pulled over and looked, and somethng had obvious dripped on my foot (I had not imagined it). When I got home I pulled out a flashlight to see if I could see the source (it was 11 o'clock so it was a little dark) Well there was a black peice of plastic above the gas pedal that had condensation across it. My thought is that it has something to do with the air conditioner cooling one part of the dash and making it 'sweat' if u will. Where i live it was 100 degrees (w/o heat index) and the car was sitting outside for most of the day. I imagine that it got rather hot. Anyone have this happen before or know what would b dripping? Thanks.

(a side note: after i stopped the car the whole bose headunit was really hot. It was so hot it almost hurt to touch it. Ideas?)

heater core?

I've run into a similar problem however it the puddle was of coolant, and it was on the passenger side, under the glove box. Mechanic later told me it was a corroded and now faulty heater core. A replacement quote was outrageous ($700) so I just had him bypass the heater all together for now(Summer in san diego). My last memories of heater usage were in the Winter and the heater was terribly underperforming. Maybe you should test that.
Mechanic told me that I probably ran too high of a coolant-to-water concentration.
Good luck.

It could be the evaporator drain is clogged causing the
condebnsation to come out the lower vents. If you look on the
lower pax side firewall you will see a small tube sticking out
(get a light) and you can eithier use a small pic to clear it
out or blow compressed air in it.
