Well the place racing intake for a VE fit on a VQ? Thanks ~Steve (Used to have '92 SE, wrecked today, will find out later this week if its totaled)

 

Anyone have pics? I will be looking to do some sort of intake soon - thinking of the Stillen PLOP charger but don't really want to spend the money. I have made them before for around $40 - on my Z, Celica and others.

i would if i know the answer but i don't...fitment would be very close as the motors are very similar...i think the VQ has extra sensors though that the VE doesn't have...im not sure though..

 

I think the VQ's throttle body is in a totally different spot...so the whole kit wouldnt work. If someone knows 100% step in tho..im 95% sure

 

What is the VQ engine?

 

VG 1989-94 GXE & 89-91 SE
VE 1992-94 SE
VQ 1995+ All trimlines

 

I would have to say no to the direct fitment question. The intake manifold and throttle body are in a slightly different place on the VE than on the VQ. They look fairly close but they are different. I am sure that with slight modification that you could get it to fit though, anything is possible.

 

how can i change the door code on my 92 gxe? i have one myself and i know it can be done and i want to help a friend change hers. can anyon help me out????
