Hi there all, I got quoted $689.55 (aud) for the front left ABS sensor for my 93 Maxima Ti...am i being ripped off...?

 

ABS is for wimps, just disable it... I'm glad I don't have it on my car, first thing I would do is shut it off... Well, prolly not, the way I brake disables ABS automatically anyhoo.

 

Yes, you are. you can buy them used for about $25-50 (USD). that's $50-100 aud. the problem will be finding them over there.

I'm waiting on a call back from a junkyard here to see if they have one. If so, I can either give you their contact information, or you can send me the money for it and I can send it to you. (I've already done this half a dozen times on international shipments.)

 

dude you r being ripped off disgustingly I got mine just yesterday from a local junkyard for only $5 for the rear left one. Problem is that the damn ABS is still on and I already made the swap of the sensors and the light won't turn. The thing is that I took this sensor out from a '93 SE with rotors in the back except mine is a '93 GXE also with rotors in the back. Is there a possibility that the sensor that I took out from an SE only works for an SE or for both SE and GXE??? While I was at it I also took out a spare TCU just in case the one that I have blows out and I also managed to sneak out the white SE gauges to see if I can install them in my car. Well, if any of you guys have the answer to my little problem with my ABS will be well appreciated.
