Man, you weren't kidding when you said 'basic'!
Is that a VE (92+ SE, DOHC engine) or VG engine? In VE it's pretty obvious where the spark plugs are, at least the front ones. It's under the coil! If I remember correctly, it's more hidden in the VG engine.

you need the 4th gen forum..
<-88 = 1st and 2nd gen
89-94 = 3rd gen
95-99 = 4th gen
00-02 = 5th gen
