Does anyone know the gear ratios of the 89-91 SE's?

 

I think I remember reading somewhere that the VE RE4F04V gear ratios were the same as the VG. I could be way off. Here are the ratios for my car (92 SE Auto). It might help.

1st 2.785
2nd 1.545
3rd 1.000
4th 0.694

 

hm.. well i was looking at the website that i got the bearings from for my tranny and noticed that same tranny is used in a lot of different cars, the sentra, the pulsar with the ca18de, aand a few other things. I was also trying to find out if nismo made parts for our maxes but couldn't find much but in the process of searching i found a pulsar gear set to change the gear ratios. the tranny is the same RS5F50A here is the stuff you can get:

Main shaft - 4.167
Final gear - 4.167
Main shaft - 4.471
Final gear - 4.471

I have no clue if these will change much because i don't know the stock gear ratios for the RS5F50A but maybe someone will know if these will do anything. Here's the link to the site http://www.nismoparts.com/catalog/?section=455

 

Those gears will hurt the 5spds performance. Too many shifts for 0-60 and in the 1/4. Plus in 5th gear you'd turn 3500-4000rpm at 60mph. Not worth it IMHO.
