AC, gauges, tailights, corner lights NOT WORKING

ARGH! hit a bump the other day when i did, all interior electronics(besides stereo) stopped working, ac stopped working, gauges stopped working, tailights stopped working, and corner lights dont come on...

anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

you got a short, i forget the name of it but there is a box that controls all of those things underneath your steering weel, check the wires leading to it, you may get lucky and just replace the wire, if not it is a dealer part that cost between $150-$200 dollars, i had the same problem but i connected my foglights to the wrong place. get it fixed right away, when i was driving at night all i had was headlights, and nothing lit up in the interior and no tailights, people couldn't see me from behind

correct me if I'm wrong but I think you are referrin' to the TCU (Time Control Unit) that would be a small white box in front of the anti-theft box under the dash to the left of the steerin' column. I hope I'm correct. If thats your problem you can get them at your local junkyard or from the dealer.

time control unit controls :
dimmer function (and if it's not working, all dash lights may turn off)
variable wiper speed
rear defrost timer
fading dome light
warning chimes
and a few other things

it has nothing to do with the A/C not working and shouldn't affect the gauges either
taillights, interior lights and corners are all on the same fuse so that may be part of the problem but I'm not sure what teh rest of the stuff is doing

Check the ground cable from the battery at the point where it attaches to the body (next to relay box, left side of battery) and make sure it is tight - philips screwdriver or #10 socket..

I've had this loosen over the years and it caused all sorts of strange things from a/c being intermittent, temp guage moving off the hot side, wipers moving slowly, windows not always working, etc.

Simple quick check, might fix your issues.
