Motor Mount Question

Hey. How do you know when your mounts are bad? What does it do for you to get new ones? Performance or what? Ive searched and cant find any info on y to change them.

PS. Is it costly or Do it yourself?

well it will start making, some noise when you floor the car, and that what happend to me so i changed the mounts and why did u create two threads?...
