Window Prob... (did search)

Hey guys, sorry to bother u all about yet another window problem, but I just need a tidbit of info. I recently bought a used max (90 SE 5spd) and when I did the guy said that the rear window was off its track. It didn't bother me so much then, but after driving it, I realized that the window just falls to the down position. Anyone know of any How To's to repair this (btw I'm kind of a noob when it comes to car repair so I need it spelled out step by step.) Thank you all in advance.

Your window regulator is broke (a search of the word "window" would have yeilded this answer). http://www.geocities.com/bracecraig/...regulator.html

Update...

just for an update i did find out that the regulater was a big mess, i bought a new one from the Nissan Tonkin Dealership near here BUT, those bastards gave me the front left side i'm pretty sure. The bottom holes on it are too wide to screw in so I have to wait until the end of labor day weekend, (Tues) to get the part. It really sucks cause i went there on friday and got it. Anyways in the mean time I hope to god that the tape holdin my window up holds. (keepin fingers crossed)

ah, if you are taking that regulator back to exchange for the right one, go ahead and get your money back if you paid over a 100. Courtesy Nissan sells them for like 65 plus shipping. It'll save you about 25 bucks, not a lot, but its still a saving.

Yah, I went to the nissan dealership and luckily i have a friend who's dad has an auto repair shop so he gets a discount. Ended up gettin it for like $56 so i was happy. I finally got the window fixed on monday so no more sliding down. BTW it's sad because i noticed that someone had put some gummy stuff in the crevice where the window goes up to hold it there... <sighs> because of all the idiots in the world who'd take the easy way out :-P
