I bought a 1991 GXE this summer with 102,000 mi on it and in decent shape overall. But it has this really annoying problem that when you are driving every now and then the stupid seat belt light comes on and the chime sounds, i am sick of it, anyone else have this problem? How do i disengage the chime and or the seat belt light?

that the seatbealts have a lifetime waranty and you can take it in to the dealer and have the problem repaied for free call you local dealer for more info.

 

I know that you can take out the light bulb for the seat belt. You have to take apart the dash, its a frustrating job, (ive been down that road when i had a dead bug in front of my guages. Anyway, my 91se does the same thing when i drive around. Also, check out Craig's page to see how to disable the chime for when you open the door with the keys in the ignish.
