my friend says i got ripped off when i bought my max, but i think he just didnt like the dealership i bought from. what do you think? its a 94 GXE, power locks, windows, mirrors(heated too), seats, keyless entry, power 2 way moon roof, leather, bose w/ cd, pearl white, auto, 101k miles at time of purchase, newer premium tiger paw tires, very good interior, paint is in very good shape, no known probs so far and have put 8k miles on it since i got it 4 months ago. paid 7,000 for it including tax, title and lisc. fees. did i get ripped off? i think i got a fair deal and i love the car. what do you think? thanks for the opinions.

Sounds like a deal

Sigh, I wish I had all the options your car came with. My car came with one option - air bag (optional in 1992).

I don't know what state you're in, but for certain states, tax/registration can really add up. Sales tax alone is 8.6% where I live.

Edmunds TMV (see http://www.edmunds.com) puts the trade-in value at $7,066, private party price at $7,925 and dealer price at $9,350 - none of these include tax.

Sounds like a good price to me.

I think you got a great deal. When I bought my 91 3 years ago I paid $9500 for it and at that time that was the BB fcr it (and it only had 84K on it).

I don't know if you got a good deal but I bought my 93 GXE with all the options you have with 76,000 miles on it for $6,500.
