Pass them suckers

What would I need to do to get better cornering... or shall I say what do I need to do to beat a sooped up car at the corner?

I'm thinking of getting 235/45/17 tires... Will front struts help? How much do they cost and what company offers them? Does anyone have' um.. are they worth it? My car is lowerd but I hate it when the car leans on the side when I make sharp turns. Any suggestions greatly welcomed.

I hate seeing the rear bumpers through the corners man. I gotta pass them suckers.

More than likely, you're gonna get "flamed" for asking that. So, PM me and I'll answer you as best I can...

Well if you only have lowering springs, you have a ways to go. Here's what I have:

Tokico Struts
Intrax Springs
FSTB - Stealth Max
Suspension Techniques Front and Rear Antiswaybars
17" Konigs on 225/45/ZR17 Kumho's

And SubFrame Connectors to go on soon.

If you really want to be able to take the corners you need to go all out. That means upgraded everything. So you want better struts, upgraded sway bars, front strut tower brace, etc.

What brand springs do you have?

i heard kyb agx struts are better than tokico. at setting 2 (out of 4) the kyb's equal the tokicos so you still have some more stiffness to go. that's what i heard anyways.

Those are the adjustables only available for the 4th gen, no?

I dont think the KYB's for the 3rd gen have any sort of adjustability.

FSTB = Front Strut Tower Bar (or brace)
Stealth Max = guy who I bought mine from, $45 shipped

SubFrame Connectors = probably one of the best suspension mods you can do, it's like adding a full frame under your car, $225

Sways = $225

All very much worth it, all promote better cornering, and yes, I do enjoy the corners. Search, it'll answer all your questions.

If i remember correctly aren't KYB's just direct replacements for the stock strut, not a actual "performance strut" and Jeff has a point...learning how to drive helps...

My STOCK 240sx with blown shocks handles better than my 93 se with toks/sprints/fstb/225 tires.
Nothing less than subframe connectors and better springs are going to make the maxima handle as well as a stock 240.
