to cv joint or to axle?
well i guess my cv joint is ready to go because i hear a rapid clicking whenever i turn, is it better to replace the joint or just find a remanufacture axle and put that in?
how much will either solution cost?
thanks

Usually the whole axle will be cheaper than just the joints I just replaced one of my cv boots and a ball joint its not hard to remove the axle just undo the 3 ball joint bolts then move the hub and stuff out the way (once you get the axle nut removed) just remember that not to pull on the axle pry it out of the tranny pulling on it will destroy your inner joint. Just a bit of help

so i asked th eguy if i brought in the axle if they could just do the install he said no because then it won't be under the warranty...
yup yup about that time i start calling all those lil shops around the area....
500 is way too much isn't it? i was think of somethign more around teh 300-400 area.....*:Sigh:*
**if anyone knows someone in the ri area who is a good mechanic and works for a decent price let ur boy know**

it's not too hard to do yourself...I just followed the Chilton book and did it myself. I got a few quotes from 400-700 for parts and labor. All in all, I paid about 150 for parts and about 3 hours of my time and saved well over 400 bucks.
