I have a 93se with bose, I bought a 97se bose cass/cd. I have both wiring harnesses but the colors are all off. I have searched for days and cannot find the right codes. All I need is what wire on the 93 goes the what wire on the 97. Thanks

 

best thing to do is to go out and buy harnesses for aftermarket radios for both at wlmart or wiz, use them as reference, then return them when you're done. there are a few different wiring codes for the 3rd gen alone (i dunno about the 4th gen). it can get confusing since every site you look up may/will have different codes. i was in search of just the 3rd gen wire coding a while back and came up with nothing.

look for the wiring diagrams for both year maxima's and splice them together.

Go to Wal-mart and buy the Scosche adaptors. Never mind that it says "not for Bose". I had to order one of them direct from Scosche (check their web site scosche.com), now '95 HU works perfectly. Just match the colors from the two adaptors, plug it in and go.
