Put 35% if your worried, and 20% if your not. Both look nice.

I have 5% in my rear window and I dont have much of a problem seeing headlights through my rear view mirror, so I would imagine it would be likewise on the sides.

Yup, it is. But I tinted anyway. There are no inspections here, so I took my chances. It was a 18 months ago. Your milage may vary.

no I mean like the kind of inspections that you take you car to the place and someone looks it over to make sure its works and road safe. They also make sure your tint is legal or you fail inspection. New york and California (and other states) have them AFAIK.

here in Illinois, there is only emissions.

Dude, my car is 10 years old. Your preaching to the choir in teh 3rd gen forum. Your car is doing better than most, 64K is excellent. My 92 has 61K...

I think we have conversed before. I will be tinting the windows on my max this week. It is a fun job, and I'm finally getting skilled enough to do it right. If you havent tinted before, go to wal-mart by some tint and apply it to anything that you can before you do your car. Its not rocket science, but its not like chewing gum either.

I've got 5% on my back window and 20% on the back sides. Right away I am putting 35% on the front sides. The cops have been out hard for stuff like that the last couple months but how can you resist full tint on a black 4 door car?

Yeah, you get use to 5%. While driving at night, it's not that bad. And while in the day time, it's prefectly fine.

I used to live in Vegas and the cops don't enforce window tint cause it's so freakin hot out there. Most cops have limo tint themselves. When I move back out there, I will put limo tint on.

im gonna be gettin 20% done all around at the end of the month. i have a tan interior, so i heard if 35% won't really seem like you have tints at all.

Yes, and expect to pay 130+ for a quality job.
