Also, check the fuel pump fuse. In the fuse block, it's the upper right fuse (15 amp). You say that you've got a 92 Max, but is it a GXE or SE?

Did you check and make sure the fuel pump is acutally pumping? Disconnect the fuel line under the hood (into a container), turn the key and see if any fuel pours out.

Won't start
I think the first thing to do is find out if you have fuel and/or spark. These are the main two items that make a car quit. You can asertain fuel from an inspection of the throttle throat after cranking for a while. Open the butterfly, does it reek of raw fuel? ( don't smoke when doing this or you'll be deployed farther than you intended) If it just smells, but doesn't reek or isn't wet you're not getting fuel. Remove an ignitor, hold it with rubber gloves or a thick cloth, put a nail or something conductive into the contact on bottom of the ingnitor, without damaging the ignitor, hold it NEAR the block and have someone crank the car. Do you get a hot spark jumping? If not your ignition system is the culpret. After you ascertain this you can then work your way down the offending system and find the weakest link. Luckily it isn't an intermitant problem.
Maybe you've done this already, but I thought I'd toss in my two cents.
