Well, I feel like I have crossed this path before. I had a problem with the rpms dropping down and almost choking my 93 se out when coming to a stop and putting the clutch in. I reset the idle and it seemed to fix the problem. Now, when I come to a stop at a red light or slow down to make a turn with the clutch in, my car will stall. Of course, my power steering goes when the motor quits. Does anyone know what could be the problem. Could it be the pcv valve? I had the o2 sensor replaced a while back. Could it be the ecu?

 

Idle position sensor, AAC valve, timing? Where are you located, TN?

 

belts? lose or slipping belts can cause you to lose power like that too

 

i seem to have same problem with my 92 maxima what can be the problem?

 

lol, I have the near-exact same problem, though my car doesn't stall when making corners. I thought it might be a fuel problem, but injector cleaner and a new fuel filter have done nothing.

 

according to one mechanic that i spoke to it may and he thinks it is the exhaust gas recirculation valve which is stuck and not functioning properly???????? does anyone have a comment on this diagnosis-thanks

 

Can anyone tell about this exhaust gas recirculation valve? where is it located and can it cause the car to stall?
