Running rich

Ok, so both of my cars seem to be running really rich. I'm getting a lot of black junk on the inside of my exhaust. Is there anyway at all to adjust the mixture? There are no cel's coming on so i don't think a sensor is bad.

VG or VE?

Either way, an ignition system would help. Jacobs ICE pack for example. Otherwise, some minor tuning might help. The real question is this: how do you really know it's running rich? A/F guage, taken a voltage reading of O2 sensor (better yet, maybe you need an O2 sensor)? Just some thoughts.

i have vg on both cars. my dad was saying it was running rich because there was a lot of black on the inside of the exhaust pipe, way more than there should be.

Have you pulled your spark plugs to see what they look like?

GXE 5-speed? swap?
i don't really like the preludes of that style. it has the earlier model's tailights as headlights and headlights as taillights. looks kind of weird compared to the previous model. i think on some of the previous preludes you could also get all wheel steering.
