i saw this k&n cone for $40 bucks at auto zone, the box was about 1 ft wide and about 2 1/2 ft high, i could be wrong about the measurements. i didnt bother asking the employee if it was the cone filter or what. that was the last box, but i would not know if it would fit on my max, how would what kind to buy (if there is different cones for diffent makes of cars)? if you guys have k&n cones on your max, what did the box look like and what was exactly inside??

 

That's a good filter if you want one. Just ask him which K&N filter fits your Max. I got one similar to the K&N filter cone, only difference is that it says "Stillen" on it and it's $100 dollars more. Phew, glad I didn't have to pay for it

where did you get your stillen filter, did you buy it online or at a local store? if so what is the store name?? also is there any tremendous difference between the stillen cones and the k&n intake cones, or is it just the name?

 

Stillen cone and K&N cone=Same thing. Bought it at some website...forgot the site, I think it's somewhere here in the links section. Just get the K&N cone at Autozone, same thing.

 

so there is no huge differce in hp or sound, between the 2? maybe you bought it at stillen.com??

 

Stillen.com hell no. Overpriced bastards. Stillen intake has a nice growl to it, but then it's a K&N filter, so the one at autozone should sound same. Stillen intake comes with a bracket and some type of adapter, forgot the name of it. Not sure if regular K&N comes with that stuff. Might wanna check. And there's not much difference in hp and sound, I think. It's just a filter, not gonna give you mad hp or anything.

 

next time when i goto auto zone ill ask, but last time i check there was only one in stock

 

All good, they'll probably get more in stock. Isn't there any other autozones or other car parts/accessories stores around u? There's 3 auzotones near my house. You can always search the web too.

 

there is a pep boys about 20 min away from my house, but they dont carry k&n filter, but they have flowmaster exhaust, and tips

 

i dont know about getting more in stock, i think they restock it every week, not every day. ive seach the web and they have really great items, but i dont have a credit card to order the items. there is only an autozone, midas, and pep boys. when i get my muffler on my car, i will get it done at midas.

 

and they are gonna overcharge the hell out of you, DON'T go there!

 

how much overcharged?? i dont care if they overcharge me, at least i get it on my car is there any other places where they put custom mufflers on?

Look for those small cheap lookin' shops. They do it for cheap. Don't need a degree in welding. Anyone can do it.
