wierd switch

wierd switch

there is this switch, its located on the right side of the steering wheel, it has a picture of a bulb and right above it there is like a odometer looking like lines. does anyone know what that switch is suppose to do, i doesnt push in it only clicks left and right, like an on/off switch, i think its suppose to make the lights on the dash brighter but i might be wrong. please help, i have a 91 se

so what happens when you flip the "switch" do the lights get brighter or dimmer? If it does, that is what the switch does

well i flipped it a couple of times, but i dindnt see any different on the gauges, maybe its my eyes...if you have a se 91 then you should know what im talking about

It's the dimmer for your dash lights. Push it on the left to increase light and on the right to decrease light, or maybe it's vice versa.

Yeah, its the dimmer switch. Press and hold it to dim, or brighten. Pushing it to the left or right jsut once isn't going to do anything.
